I did this and was really surprised by how accurate the songs were.

A genuine question that I've wondered about for quite some time now:

In real life, how does one properly respond to, "Sup?"

Especially if it's said as you're passing the other person with barely enough time to get one syllable out before it's too late.

I'm serious.

I just finished spending 1.5 hours making a spreadsheet to convince myself that I can do my double major (physics and nuclear engineering) in four years. I can, with 15 or 16 hours each semester. That's good. It's especially good since it's been constantly on my mind (whether it's even possible without summer or something) since I declared it.

Yesterday, I downloaded a torrent of Einstein on the Beach, an opera by Phillip Glass. I just finished listening to it, and it had moments of real brilliance. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for something out of the ordinary.

tech support!

I know that this is at least my third entry on tech support for my laptop, but it ususally gets me so angry that I have to let it out. Well, this time is a bit different. Last night, I was on the phone from 7pm to 1am with three different technicians, one of which hung up on me. The last one ended with plans to reformat my entire computer, and they were supposed to call back at 5pm today. I was extremely frustrated last night, given that I had spent six hours on the phone and was no nearer solving the problem (read: getting them to send a technician out here) than I was when I started. Anyway, I waited until 7pm, no call. I even had to pass on going out to the movies with someone I hadn't seen all summer just because of this stupid nonexistant call. So I called them back one more time at 7. This time, the guy found the problem by 7:11, and immediately started working on sending a technician out to replace my keybord. No reformatting required. I am so glad to get this done with.

Wow, within the last 15 minutes this year's Emmys have become an absolute must-watch for me. I already knew that Conan was up for 5, Project Runway for 3, and Kathy Griffin for 1 (all shows for which I really care about the outcome), but on tonight's Conan I found out that he will be hosting, and that PR's Tim Gunn will be the preshow red carpet correspondant. This is the first time I've ever cared about the Emmys.

In other news, I can't wait to get to school. Two weeks for me. Wheee. We're going shopping in Asheville on Saturday. I want to buy lights and pillows and school supplies. Orientation was mostly cool. There are only 23 freshman physics majors, two of which Stephanie and I don't believe exist.

Ah, I'm so glad that Big Brother is back on tv...and that I have the live online feeds. =)

Aw, I love my family. Amber (cousin/best friend), Blake (her nephew, 12), and Dylan (another cousin, a rising high school freshman), went to the pool today, then just ran around Spruce Pine, then went to play pool (as in, billiards) in Foscoe. It was just a lot of fun, and a great change from having nothing to do. =)

A belief: A song (or poem) that has a rather unprofound message and hides it in vague, flowery words is not deep, and is in fact inefficient and pointless.

Saturday, I got a car. It's a very red Toyota Matrix, and I love it =) I've driven it everywhere in the past two days, including to Johnson City, TN yesterday.

I'm not 100% positive that it's coming to State next year, but as long as I get enough experience driving on the interstate and in cities this summer (as determined by my parents), it will.
